IT'S the biggest get-together of Australia's Serbian community and it's held right here in south-west Sydney. For the 24th year running, last weekend the Serbian Folkloric Festival attracted big crowds at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club. Close to 8000 people attended over the three days that displayed Serbian culture and its traditions. The performers, more than 1000 of them, came from all over Australia, plus guests from Serbia and a host of local VIPs. There were displays of Serbian traditional dancing and singing and many stalls offering Serbian food delicacies as well as entertainment for children.
